Vercesi bakery takes pride in a 150-year-old tradition. At the end of the nineteenth century, Stefano Vercesi, knight, decided to change the recipe of the already famous “Baci di dama” biscuits by substituting hazelnuts with almonds and adding cocoa to the mixture. He also added a touch, like a soft kiss, of the best dark chocolate. The “Baci Dorati” were thus born. The Baci are patented, thus preserving their authenticity through time, and were awarded the golden medal at Milano’s international exhibition in 1906. Inside the pack is a poem written by the Tortonese poet De Marchi in the 1930’s for the local youth’s sports games and dedicated to the soldiers leaving for Lybia. The “Baci Dorati” are ideal in all seasons and they make a perfect gift. Try them as a treat at the end of your meal or as an afternoon break. The original recipe has never been changed and is made up of few, simple high quality ingredients in order to guarantee the uniqueness of a genuine product.
